Making and drawing edible ink to increase curiosity and appetite for food
The Smarker toolkit complements the variety of edible inks provided in IKEA stores by helping children and their parents explore and create their own edible ink flavours to best match the dishes being served up at any particular time. Drawing with the easy, cleanable Smarkers is a fun way to keep children occupied, while at the same time encouraging them to be curious about food. Preparing the inks is a process that requires involvement of both the parent and child. Instructions help them to explore different ingredients to create a variety of inks, as well as how to use those ingredients in a sustainable way. Self-made edible ink and drawings can help to create a mindful eating experience and boost engagement with food.
