ORIGAMI SALAD SET

Xiaoqian Liu (China)

Make children feel equal when they’re cooking with their parents

The concept is to create kitchenware that can help children, aged between four and seven, to prepare simple dishes independently. The purpose is to allow children who lack cooking skills to feel equal to their parents, who generally have greater culinary ability, while they are preparing food together. Inspired by the ancient art of origami, the flattened objects can be folded to make different  kitchen utensils, which are safe for children to use.  The origami concept engages children because of its game-like attributes, making the cooking process more fun.
